Here's a little about me:
The Roots:
I doubt you'll actually read all this ... I could actually make a lot of it up - but I won't. I'm a New Zealander who migrated to the United States in search of increasing my skills and gaining more clients for my web business. Well, I think I'm definitely on track on both fronts – I've just had some detours along the way. Including marrying my beautiful wife Melissa. Acquiring the best looking dog in the world - Maya. And working for a bunch of companies along the way. My original plan was to return to New Zealand and have a family - and that's certainly still on the cards. Just waiting for the right moment.
The Experience:
I've had plenty of experience and I've enjoyed a majority of it. Those bad times have certainly taught me some things as well.
I've been designing, developing and producing websites for over 11 years now. Serving both local businesses & organizations to large corporations, reference my portfolio. I've had a variety of different roles, ranging from Email Marketing Specialist, Project Lead, Information Architect, Lead Developer, Web Producer, Business Owner & more. I managed to get my PHP 5 certification - and plenty of time learning new techniques or simply keeping up with the industry. I love using API's to build custom interfaces or applications - and I'm a strong believer in adhering to Web Standards.
Currently:
My last job drove me to jump off a bridge, just kidding. Doing the largest bungy in the world (the Nevis Bungy is 134 meters) - has given me the initiative to start my own business and it's been tough and fun so far! I split my time between Nashville, TN and Northwest Arkansas, and quite often get the chance to return to my homeland.
If you've got a web project that you need some help with, I'd be more than happy to advise and provide some options.
